SARAH PALIN IS A MAVERICK

Well isn't that just super. You betcha

THE ACID TEST

Today in 1965 Ken Kesey spiked the punch bowl and the Warlocks fired up their amps, The rest is of course history. Neal Cassidy drove the bus "Further" and in a sense handed the Avaunt Guard baton from the Beats to the Hippies. An original Warlocks recording from this event is out there somewhere and still available, classics such as "Know your rider" etc. It was a great time to be young in America

SARAH PALIN COMPARISON

There are a few things about Sarah I cannot accept. Killing Moose is not more important than dealing with 78% alcohol rates on Native American Tribal lands. I have no desire to elevate Hockey Moms to a position of political importance. She quit her job as Governor to cash in on her fleeting media profile. The only thing I need from her is my supply of Crab legs.

1960's Modernism

This is a good example of architecture from the 1960's. So much of it looks like total crap

To The MOON Part 2

This is a ROCK. just like the Moon it is lifeless, Dull, Dusty, Dark, Cold and a huge waste of money.

To the Moon

Okay, stop me if you think going back to the Moon is important. Now, for the rest of us I would advocate the immediate halt for any expenditure of tax payers money with regards to anything about the Moon. It's an old ROCK!!! That's it. ROCK -like a stone, the type of thing one might hurl at a sister. There isn't anything mysterious or useful about it. It is a ROCK that just happens to be in our orbit. Look, It isn't going anywhere so let's move on to Mars or Jupiter anything but going back to the sandy, cold, lifeless ROCK. Now about Mars, this might be good. There still exist the hope that it is or was inhabited by Martians. All those Sci-Fi movies couldn't be wrong. My money is on Mars, no more Moon money. Follow along: NO MO MOON, NO MO MOON. Rest, breathe and refocus.

Theory of Evolution

Okay, some fish swims ashore, begins walking into the forest, over time becomes a bipedal primate, finishes college, sells Real Estate, loses his home, wife and business. I find that a little hard to accept.

The Beat Goes on

In the Summer of 1960 Jack Keroauc walked across this bridge at nite. He slept under it before hiking up to a fire cabin in the mountains above Big Sur California. Jack lived and wrote in this small cabin for 6 weeks before going back East. 9 Years later the so-called leader of the Beats -
Beatniks would die from drinking at the age of 47. Jack's heart may have stopped but the Beat goes on.

Kanza Prairie south of Holton, Kansas Fall 2009

Kanza Prairie Journal

The Hotel Josephine in Holton, Kansas. Still open, still beautiful and still a gem on the Kanza prairie. Ten miles North of the Pottowatamie Indian tribal Lands.

Kanza Journal

Saturday

Nov. 7th

A picture perfect Indian summer afternoon. Drove west on Kansas 24 highway-now a secondary slow road-perfect. Headed north from Perry lake to the small town of Ozawkie from here we headed west on sunflower road 92 and began climbing into the Flint Hills. 92 turns into 16 and then 116 as it passes thru Valley Falls. This is a small farming town with brick streets and a nice downtown. The Sun was at a low angle and still producing heat so late in the year. Winds were calm and smelled of fresh cut Soy Bean fields. We entered Holton, Kansas where we found a picture perfect Circa.1860's Town. The Central plains architecture with it's central town square courthouse and perfectly symmetrical four sided front facing two story buildings had the feel of a Hollywood set. The brick streets were clean and the buildings were full of small town merchants. To the East down a slight hill lay the Delaware river. This river is the water source of Lake Perry to the South East.
There is a large three story Victorian house that is now a B&B and known for it's chicken dinners. The place is beautiful. Tall and white with large Elm tree's providing shelter from both Sun and wind. More later...

BONO VS. BONO

Okay,

Votes are in and the worlds favorite Bono is still.....

Bobby Blue Bland

In my opinion the greatest Southern R&B singer ever. Will be on tour this winter. Do not miss him-He ain't gonna be around forever. "Members Only" Best song.

Oh, No Bono Stop Eating Stop Posturing

Enough already. Why does Bono need to show up at every photo op.in the World? Whether Its the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall to an economic summit in Nairobi. What the hell, can't he just stay in Dublin and leave us alone? Enough posturing already. The unemployment rate in Northern Ireland is a much more important subject the any dumb wall falling down. Does Bono know how many children live under the poverty line in Dublin?
I imagine every time Bono mugs for the camera his bandmates roll their collective Irish eyes and head for the nearest pub. Hell, pour me a couple pints as well.
BONO NO MO Sing it with me children

An owner of a beautiful circa. 1880 condo bldg has a large painting of mine in the main lobby. The painting measures 6'x8' the imagery includes some crow's as a symbol of Native American iconography. The owner called me to say how happy he is to have my Giant Duck Painting in his lobby....? Duck Painting? Thats not a duck it's a crow. Jeez it's going to be a long day

PS This is NOT a view of my painting

Small rant from the heartlands

The ineptitude by which our Government conducts itself on the world stage is beyond belief and comprehension. Israel is a sovereign nation. Why has the United States year after year, administration after administration felt compelled to do Israel's negotiations with the Muslim world? Let Israel speak for itself. Let Israel conduct itself as a nation in all matters regarding its ability to remain a viable safe haven for it's people. Hillary Clinton needs to take a break from international bullying. I believe she is suffering from jet lag. I find it short sighted and inexcusable that we spend Billions of taxpayer dollars in support of Israel when 40% of grade school age children in the U.S. live under the poverty line. What is the rate of poverty in Israel? On the one hand the Israeli Government continually asks the U.S. to supply it with military hardware and yet we find that the same Israeli government has people spying on our Government. Does this seem odd to anyone else?
This is not an anti-Israeli attack. I will be in Israel this spring and have only admiration and respect for its people. It's our two Governments that give me pause to reflect and wonder if there exists a better way to live in a world of different views and beliefs.
